just wondering if this was a job i could do myself,or does it need to be done at the garage,i am hoping it can be done by me and save a small fortune.
cheers for any info.

Take it you mean replacing the airbags..?

There are some very good "how to" articles out there (rangerovers.net for example). Seems to be theoretically straightforward, except the clips will be rusted sold and you'll have hours of fun trying to get the old bags off.

I'll tell you from personal, bitter experience in a few weeks...

I got a mate to help with mine... 40 mins to get the 1st one off, due to a rusty siezed clip... The 2nd one 10 mins.... Have somebody who is a bit handy with a spanner with you, plus read the ho to do pages.. Should be ok.

Once you get the wheel off it should take about 30 min. I also bought a new set of clips and pins as my old one were stuck solid. Make sure you have a large enough pry bars. I had to use a bit of brute force to seperate the bottom of the airbag from the chassis as mine had welded together.
Good luck

No worries. 20 mins start - to -finish on the first one and less than 15 for the second. Gentle persuasion ( i.e. crowbar) was req'd for the removal of the alloy seats at the bottom and grease and patience to locate the retaining pins.
Go on......Save yourself a mint and have a go.
