Say hello to Pig. A high mileage, 3 door commercial that’s been tugging around a bowser for the last few years.
An almost accidental purchase. Was watching on eBay for a bit then once spoke to owner I thought I’d grab it.
It won’t be a restoration by any means. It’s had most the rot issues sorted a while back although some bits could do with another clean up and paint.

Issues:

Fuel gauge constantly showing empty with fuel light - now fixed
Interior was absolutely hanging
Drivers window goes down when your start it
Think aircon needs seeing to and fan resistor too.
Think transfer box is leaking but need to jetwash underneath

Good:
Overall the body and standard of welding is good. The previous owner was a Landy man and despite it being worked he’s kept it serviced.
Most things work!

Work completed so far:

First off I emptied it all out! Then I ripped out the carpets and ruster foam and wire brushed back and treated, everything then got a dousing of bilt hamber wax. Also gave the interior a good clean.

Fixed dodgy fuel gauge

Fitted a low coolant sensor with alarm.

Fitted a bit of sound deadening

Bought a new carpet which I’m half way through fitting

New gaiters

Got given some mats

Next plans is to drive her, give a coolant flush and stat change and fit some gauges and external fuse box.

Happy days

Boot floor looks superb & it seams solid enough, I still have a wee stash of D1 parts but just bought another but more off road
orientated, might have somit you need. :)

Yes mate I’ll definitely be after them for either this or the ‘premium edition’ 😂.
Yeah boot floors good, sills good, inner wings just starting again but got a while before they’d need doing. Body mounts all good. Galactic mileage on it but it seems to run quite well. I’ve not actually driven it yet - wanted to do the floor and check innards before I took her out.
Got half the new carpet in today. If only my other one was this easy eh.

Looks good! The front passenger footwell looks a bit crusty but I’m sure it’ll clean up ok. The rest looks good. A workhorse and not a show pony!

I thought he was trying to be smart and playing on words!

Me being smart never to be heard in the same sentence 🤣 , id had a few last night just as well I went to bed.

New carpet very swish, do they not just sook up all the water like my landys. 🤣🤣

Not once the holes are plugged at the bottom of windscreen. That’s what killed a pillars then scuttle drain kills inner wing! You gotta get that foam out. It’s such a rust trap!!!

Low coolant alarm led. Alarm works from a Range Rover coolant tank cap with the float sensor on. Kev let’s hope you got a spare unbroken steering shroud 😂
