Have a problem with a 2007 110 Defender 2.4 TDCI. The engine keeps on going into limp home. The following are some notes:
1) occurs when engine is cold (even just started) or when hot
2) Fuel is clean of water and filter is new
3) You can drive round issue by stopping and starting the engine or press home the clutch and boot it
4) have replaced the throttle pedal assembly which including the TPS
5) coolant level is good
6) temp gauge has always been a bit dicky sometimes refusing to register any temp, but suddenly comes good
7) dropped into a diesel specialist and he hooked it up to a TEAK OBD reader. Nothing wrong was registered injectors and turbo appeared okay
8) not sure if the TEAK unit can read all the LR ECU fault codes
9) also no MIL check engine light is thrown

Anyone have any suggestions. Looks like I'll have to purchase a code reader as this could easily become a shaggy dog story

Thanks for your help
