Started front suspension and diff today...took me all day to strip down one side to the halfshaft...hopefully will
be a bit quicker now I know what I'm doing! Also rebushing the radius arms.Had to burn the bottom shock nuts off as they were practically welded on.Definately the hardest job so far...mainly due to the front end being caked in years of crud.
Although I would love some snow to play in I it holds off enough to finish it off!
Pics tomorrow...

Front suspension and axle now finished...outrigger and wiring left plus seat belts and a jolly up..oh and tyres...

Just read thread from start/finish. Well done for all the effort you've put into this restoration! Ben

Outrigger done, wiring done, just started tidying up inside with some paint before the seats, seat belts & headliner goes back in (after ive pressure washed it)...
New column shroud on & lots of silicone round the sills & rear floor to try & keep the water out!
Connected up the fuel sender...had a full tank!!! No, the connectors were the wrong way round..doh!!
Just the footwells to do in the front, finishing painting inside and wait a month till i can afford some tyres...so close!!!

It looks like its begging to have a bale of straw in the back & 2 naughty dogs :)

Just read from the first post - impressive!

Makes me realise just how little I know and my limitations around what I'll tackle!

Currently got the floor plates out on mine, but know that's just childs ply compared to what many of the LZ guys get up to!

Still, there's only one way to learn...

Looking good Foss, although the back looks like it's wet

Very true, dive in and go for it :D

Believe me...I was very "limited" before I started...Ive learnt everything as Ive gone along, spoken to people on here aswell and had little hands on knowledge before I started...its amazing how easy landies are to strip & rebuild...no wonder so many are pinched.
Just the front footwells to do tomorrow and get some rubber.
Put the new back seat in today.

The rear floor piece I made out of ally, folded it in a basic sheet bender and made 2 end caps.Riveted it all together. :)
