This weekend...
*
Fabb'd second row inner sills & brackets & welded them on. Loosely fitted body crossmember.
Stripped all front lights off ready for new ones.
Refitted the fuel tank, managed to jump start it with a battery off a Nissan Micra!
Next week is fabricating the door shuts at the front of the tub, fitting tub braces, test fit the tub & put the exhaust on.
*
Pics to follow...
*
Still to do...
*
Drivers front outrigger, footwell repair sections, lots of wiring!, tyres, brakes, front diff, paint/retrim inside, door locks....Mot'd, taxed, insured by Christmas Day??? Hope so, otherwise I'll have to find her another present!

Today...
Fuel tank on properly with sender & pipe, insulated loom, roll bar back on & bump stops & new battery...opened the box with the footwells & tub braces in :)
Fitting braces tomorrow & maybe exhaust if there's time.

Well the tub fit went well, all lines up lovely....just need to fabricate the angles for the rear door shuts, cut a new floor from some ally sheeting & re-route the loom & fuel line as they catch on the tub.
Exhaust is great, except the restored back pressure has blown a hole in the front pipe! BUGGER!
Oh & the dipstick tube is split-BIG LEAK & the front crank seal looks like its leaking!!
I can do most things but changing engine bits int my forte!

Dipstick oil tube replacement is very simple, undo it, replace it, simples.

Crankshaft seal is a tad different, but not too difficult, plenty of posts relating to it, just search under ' timing belt replacement ' as most people replace the cam & crank seals at the same time.
