yeh will keep a file on how its goin.
the good and the bad,im sure some probs will come up along the way.

biggest prob so far that i thought was just to the front doors which wernt etch primed b4 the last owner painted it,seem to be paint flaking in other various places..

ere wilty i like your winch controls on the wing they look neat if not a little dangerous

most of the utility 110s have the winch controlls and isolators on the wing tops , i like them therem handy till ter stood 3ft in **** to operate them :D

personally i would not want to be standing by the front wing when i was winching even though you run plasma its not the best place to be standing

Its a neat place. I have my cut off switch and wanderlead connections in the wing blanking plate :) also switched from inside so I dont need to get so dirty :)

i have seen too many shackles break and go flying (even on synthetic) i would rather be standing behind summat even the door is better than nowt!

youve all missed the obvious..

the wing controls are used mainly for winding in the rope after winching

the main controls are inside the cab:doh:

its a lot easier to wind the rope back on when ya can see how its spooling on the drum
and you then dont have to worry about unplugging those ****e wander leads which ive seen people forget and drive off runnin over the cable n snapping it..

come guys i gave ya all more credit than to fink i would stand at the side of me winch and use it to recover someone..

i was thinking about doing that but the likely hood of the MOT boy ****ing with the winch controls and bustin summat put me off

i think i will stick with a wander lead..........
orrible fings..

there ok for the occassional p+p

but in a winch challenge there useless, time is of the essence, and ya cant be fookin about plugin in and unpluggin leads,or as ive said forgetting altogether and then drivin of and snappin in half.

i still have the lead in me cubby box but aint used it for over a year

Wiltshire,

I'll be watching this thread closely as Im about to start stripping mine down ready for a respray. Ive only got as far as the door cards and im now wondering whether to get the door bottoms repaired.

I'll purposely be a day or two behind you, so that if I encounter any problems I can ask you how you did it:D

Good luck

haha, Im planing on a paint job in the summer, when its warmer as have no garage. What are your doors like? The base of mine are trashed, but on the outside they is solid. It just the bottom inner plate that rusted badly. is it worth repairing or just cleaning up the mess and protecting it.
