Follow on from my earlier post above;
Had the wifes car in for MOT this week, passed with flying colours. Strange thing is the emissions (its a petrol) are all down to zero. Previous years they have been very low, but now all zero - despite the engine, spark plugs, exhaust system being a year older. The only change this year is the PD Plus oil. I can only guess that this has helped the emissions (or the testing machine is duff??)

I have the datas and prolonged experience with PD oil in my Td5 and i can confirm that the engine became smoother with it than with any other ''generic'' oil i've used before and the fuel consumption was no factor at all... i made around 60K miles since i've started using PD oil and i'm convinced that it's the best for it which is logical to me as it's a PD/EUI engine... but it's an "each to his own" kind of situation IMO

Their reply wasn't a surprise as they aren't going to go against what the manufacturer recommends, even though it was recommended 20 years ago.

I wouldn’t worry about it.
The chassis will of rotted away before pd oil or not become’s an issue.
