True Nick. Yeah, ultimately it is bodywork that takes the hit. The bottomes of the doors on mine are a slightly different shape!. I've just received the last of a load of box section n tubing to make up some rock sliders now its getting warmer n drier outside. just over £30 in materials n some cutting n welding practice to make something custom sounds better to me than over £250 for something I'm gonna bash the crap out of!

Ultimately its prob a better idea havin something 'spare' to bash about in at the pay n play days. (n also do the black routes without stressing about breakin a daily driver)

i get stressd anyway when i trash sumat, its all dosh..and yet more time off road when sumat breaks, tiz expensive hobby, but worth it

Good to see you got ur net back up n running Vince mate.
Cheers again for keepin me company later on that day n for doin routes I wouldnt normally do. Yep, I certainly have a different view of the capabilities of the bobtail.:D
Got a few jobs to do on it. mainly making up some sliders and sorting a crappy mount on one side of the steering guard...oh, n the pads r fooked too:doh:...once I get them sorted I'll be up n ready for another trip out.;)

we'll make a driver out of you yet joe ;). twas an enjoyable afternoon mate, will see you next time. i'm guessing you don't want a 90 now?

where did ya order the bits from joe... might have a bash at that n make some thing that would get past r lass as a step but offer a bit more protection.. ha ha ha..

I got the metal from ebay! loads of metal off cut type listings on there. It would probably be cheaper goin to a metal merchants in person, but ebay is convenient and gives our local postie some exercise, which judging from his face when it arrived, he was well chuffed about hauling it all up the steep driveway!:D
