ok well i have access to stuff needed to measure the bores. do the pistons need to come out still. there is a lip at the top of the bore but its very small.

made a start on rebuilding the head today, but had to have the valve seats recut as they were in a poor state. also had the valve guides clean, all relapped and new seals and gaskets fitted. D day tomorrow as the bores are going to be inspected and measured

the big end bearings were shot down to the copper lol. going to have to check the mains now aswell. pistons are cleaned up and ready for the new rings once they arrive, injectors all checked out ok also.

Well all back togther and running lovely. Will upload pictures either today or tomorrow when i can get my phone to conect to my pc. Strangley there is still pressure at the air filter on tick over, raise the revs even only 100rpms and its gone. head was pressure tested and came back fine, all valves were sealing well so i'm alittle stuck as to where to look next. Bleeding the coolant system was a pain a friend of mine used a vacum bleed in the end, two seconds and all the air was out

cheers pal me to. just needs to sort out the inside now. new seats and door cards, then to replace the cv's and halfshaft, and upgrade to to hd drive flanges. then new wheels and tyres so next bill is £672 according to paddocks lol
