Theres not a theoretical reason I can think of to explain why a p38 should ONLY be ran on a certain size of rim. Otherwise the hedges would be filled with p38s

Try thinking of the "construction and use" legislation. Just because they drive "perfectly" doesn't mean they are legal. I personally couldn't give a flying feck whether you run on 10" or take your wings off and put tractor wheels on.

Yes, but have you tried the search? put in a subject, put Datatec's name in the posted by member window and see what happens.

That would also apply to coil springs.

Quite correct my old mate, we get away with murder in this country. In Spain and probably other European counties they check the reg. doc. when you go for the MOT and if the tyre /wheel size don't match then it doesn't pass. The various wheel/tyre sizes that the car is homologated for are printed on the doc's.

This is true. Lads father in law got his 4x4 Merc failed in Spain for side steps and stick on window tints. Had to remove the tints and steps then take it to a dealer to have steps refitted and added to documents. If he wanted to replace tints he had to have new Merc glass fitted. Didn't bother with that. That is what the EU want us to adopt but we are hanging back on a lot of EU legislation reference MOT..

Yup, and tow bars have to have their own doc's as well, you cannot just fit one yourself.

If you try this argument then no vehicles would be on the road. Or you be having to fit oem tyres, service items etc and go one step further than tuv style management
