Hi guys I'm sat at 1:38 in the morning by the sea in Devon awaiting the aa after popping to get a takeaway! I locked the p38 came back unlocked it by the key went to start and nothing!! Thought maybe hadn't left it in park or neutrul but it was! Iv jumpered the starter and fuel pump and they run iv even left key in pos 2 and jumpered starter motor bit nothing it won't run! Iv tryed the emergency key thing and the rangie beeps at me ect to acknowledge it's worked but nothing! Any idears guys?

It's obvioulsy immobilised. Did you lock it with the fob? Any messages on the dash? The EKA (emergency key access) should do it if it's done correctly. There's loads of threads on here on that subject.
 
Hi yes ud think it was immobilised but no message on dash and iv entered the EKA and got the confimation beeps from alarm but nothing... at a loss the strange thing is the check engine light hasnt come on now i know that this comes on 48ms after code has been read from key...
 
no doest clunk at starter iv power probed the starter and it turns the engine over and iv probed the fuel pump and that runs so starter and pump ok :( its as if it immobilized but no message on dash ect the only thing that dosent happen is the check engine light...
 
it sounds like out of sinc but it could be as easy as bat down a bit have a look at earths in engine also leads to starter. when mine goes out of sinc it turns over but wont start i dont get message on dash
 
Hi update have managed to get her to crank by power probing a negitive to bcm out put the. For a short while I'm able to crank her on the key! I'm suspecting a crap batterey not sure yet tho it's on charge! How do u resync it then?
 
you will need rovercom or such like its yor becm out of sinc with ecu. have you got a code reader? if you haveplug it in you will get 2 codes p1667 p1672 thats out of sync

good thanks,no rangy still on it's arse,cannot be bothered with it at the moment.got a pal coming tuesday to give me a look see,he's got a rovacom and he breaks p38s so any bits i might need etc.
 
thats the one. its bad when you affaid to wash the fecking thing. at least now i got sync mate i can go out of the road in it
 
ha iv tried and tried it just wont do anything.... i just dont get it it new battery fobs lock and unlock doors can activate starter from bcm pin out can operate fuel pump.. no error messages in dash ign sends 0v to bcm when in posistion 3 im lost its stuck half way across the drive lol

you need someone one with a rovacom or similar kit,where abouts are you, dunkswell,where's that??.
