That may work but they are in to alloy so may be a bit corroded if the fan works ok when tested leave well alone. Will a bit of penetrative oil plus mole grips do or should I drill them?

bang squeeze suck blow!?Petrol turns the opposite way so has opposite thread.
bang squeeze suck blow!?
Why would that be?But if the fan goes the other way, the engine must too![]()
Tightly rolled newspaper, start the engine, wait for the viscous to free off, push end of newspaper into fan blades, fan should stop. Repeat with the engine up to temperature, fan should not stop, it should shred the paper. When you say newspaper, do I wedge it in-between the fan blades & do I stop it's initial progress on startup? Because it'll be slightly stiff to begin with won't it?
it must be going backwards if it goes the other way?? (please don't hit me)Why would that be?
Depends on the routing of the belt around the pulliesit must be going backwards if it goes the other way?? (please don't hit me)
Yes.If it takes my fingers off when I retrieve the newspaper (there might be something I've missed) should I call it a day?
Nobody mentioned "wedging it in", you push it into the fan blades and it will either stop or chop.Well that's what I'm thinking. Instead of wedging it in could I not hold the roll of newspaper and press it against the fan until it stops. Their's probably no need to hold it until it reaches temperature, is there?
