He said that they've already been changed and that it is losing coolant.;)

it's gunna be trial and error :(

That really isn't sounding good.:(

I would certainly get it tested for HGF ASAP.

coolant cap,
cracked expansion bottle
inlet manifold gasket
headgasket

generally

ffs they don't all have hgf

there are plenty of other reasons for coolant loss

and rough running?

Read back and you will see that I recommended a sniff or compression test to confirm or crush the idea.;)

ok Ratty ;)

rough running is synominous with a failed inlet manifold gasket.

i've been through all this kinda crap with mine, it would've been cheaper and more entertaining to have bought a V8 off Drivel :D

coolant cap, fair play
cracked expansion bottle and what is the usual cause of this?;)
inlet manifold gasket Possible
headgasket. ooooh. Look what'c come up again:rolleyes:

generally

What do you give the chances of a k series head gasket surviving being driven whilst having a coolant leak?

It'd have one major advantage over a K series.:)

It'd break down even closer to home:D:D:D
