A piece of crap. by the looks of it ! ........... :D
your not very far from the truth from the descriptions given in the ad and from the pictures I thought I was getting a wheel which matches what I already have fitted to my landy but also a usable tyre with some road legal tread. What I got was a tyre which has usable tread on the outside but on the inside is bald. When i questioned the seller he claims he was only selling the tyre as packaging what I was really paying for was the wheel and suggested that I needed glasses. Now thats just annoying because I can get a new wheel not used for £40 post free.
So is he correct do I need glasses or has this power seller ripped me off?

There's lots of vehicles carring and maybe using an odd tyre and wheel and even using it... it's called a Space Saver.

The suggestion in he owners handbook is only use it on the rear of the vehicle, so a lot of faffing about removing wheels if you have a puncture at the front.

Oh! the power of evil bay !!:rolleyes: send it back - not as described - I.E. not as shown in the pictures.

I spent £300 on the damn place mid november - when it arrived it was junk - :( - so I sent it back - had to get fleabay to step in to get my refund,:mad::mad: but I got it back yesterday (!!!) - tempted to neg feedback the seller too !!!

Listing says he accepts returns - send it back and argue about the postage later - and take your own pictures too - and keep all comms within fleabay, and include the pictures !!!!

Rip off? .... maybe. ..... Chancer? probably! ( IMHO!!)

well he's now resorted to name calling and even claims that his photo's show a melted tyre so I'm attempting to report him to Ebay
he actually said he was going to post bad things about my company on google, poor confused chap, I got him to send item to my works address and he thinks its my company managing director wont be too happy with me if he does bad mouth the company on google

Clearly states wheel and tyre and good condition.

As a bare minimum the tyre would have to be road legal to avoid that being an outright lie.

That said I wouldn't buy anything that didn't state thread depth but still....

You could have Returned the wheel at no cost by opening a case the tyre is shown as scrap in the pictures. Iam back At work on Tuesday first call will be to EBay about your feedback then the google and yell.com reviews for your company . I will then get your md's name and address from companies house and his email address and tell him I used your words as feedback because you use your company address as part of your eBay account which binds you together I could not care less about solicitors as I studied law here is a billion pound company that got blown out of the water in court. Balls in your court Forrest Gump

This is the lasted threat the guy has sent me on behalf of Douglas Vally Breakers Ltd

and this because I emailed him to say I would not be leaving him positive feedback but neutral as I also did not want to leave him negative feedback. He's adamant that the ad say tyre sold as packaging but I cant see that anywhere on the ad . He even claims that the tyre show a picture of a melted tyre but the one I received is not melted at all.

Whats wrong with your feedback, seems too reasonable. Is it just because its negative
Dont think he's a happy little man. It would have been a neutral feedback if his response had not been disrespectful. I never asked him for money back or to return the item been trying to find how to report him to ebay but can not find how to do it with out requesting a refund.

Yeah well, there's a reason for that..... it ain't there !!!! :D

From the ebay "tick box" part of the listing for item 251939363354:-

"Condition: Used: An item that has been previously used. The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended. This item may be a floor model or shop return that has been used. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections"

And from the sellers bit of the listing:-

"Late model good condition"

beggars belief - the thing I bought was described as exceptional condition, and was badly damaged - to the tune of more than the purchase price to fix it!

never had this kind of thing from ebay before never, had a few things from china not turn up and either got my money back or have had a replacement once I even had both but never has somebody threatened to dis honer the company I work for on google and yell.com or get my company director names from companies house and send then letters all because I wanted to give him neutral feedback, so now he's got a negative feedback and a complaint made to paypal, just waiting to hear from ebay.

If I were you I would be looking for another job come next week your now my hobby

that was the last email message I got from this low life tonight

Just phoned Ebay nice long conversation and will probably cost me a few pennies for the call but I think well worth it. They looked at the messages between the seller and myself and agree that the seller is in the wrong and are possibly looking into having his Ebay account suspended and have blocked him from being able to contact me.
Only problem is I now have to have a word with the managing director at my work tomorrow in case this guy attempts to discredit the company name and try to have me fired.
After all he has made me his hobby

Blackmail
The crime involving a threat for purposes of compelling a person to do an act against his or her will, or for purposes of taking the person's money or property.

The term blackmail originally denoted a payment made by English persons residing along the border of Scotland to influential Scottish chieftains in exchange for protection from thieves and marauders.

In blackmail the threat might consist of physical injury to the threatened person or to someone loved by that person, or injury to a person's reputation. In some cases the victim is told that an illegal act he or she had previously committed will be exposed if the victim fails to comply with the demand.

Although blackmail is generally synonymous with Extortion, some states distinguish the offenses by requiring that the former be in writing.

Blackmail is punishable by a fine, imprisonment, or both.
