Left school and joined the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineering Mechanic (basically everything from Gas Turbines to the **** House), left that and became a Wind Turbine Service Technician now a Service Coordinator for the same company, just starting to dislike sitting behind a desk all the time.
So you work for Ecotricity?
Started out as electrical draughtsman then made redundant so joined Civil Service (can't say which bit) on a short term 6 week contract - that was 29 years ago.
Job's OK, big plus point is flexi time & decent pension
