Ok, so that didn't go quite as planned...
So I took the bolts out, then disconnected the front of the shaft. The gasket took a long time to remove with a hammer and screw driver. As I removed that a lot of oil like liquid ran out and went everywhere.
I then cut the metal clip and tried to remove the bearings after removing the circlip. And failed.
So after a lot of swearing I decided to put it back together with proper grease in without swapping the gaiter. So hopefully it won't leak with the correct grease in.
I also only had a jubilee clip, will that be ok, or will it unbalance the prop?
Oh, and I didn't see the message about marking where the cup was before, what problems could it cause if I didn't put it back on right?
