ok, point taken
at the moment, the Waxoyl was sprayed in between the gap as best they could, but that's because I thought they were welded on and therefore said "do the best you can"!
As for trapping water, if the Waxoyl has no water underneath it, putting diff guards on while it's still wet shouldn't make much difference.
Despite that, however, there's no harm is waiting just in case!
