when are you planing on doing the lanes ? as i know a few of the harder lanes that mite interest you but there best in the summer when its dry
 
I'm willing to take you out for a day or two if you want the tour .
i have all the lanes mapped out
 
Most the lanes up here are non scratchy and not very technical so you might not get what you are looking for - you certainly won't have any dents unless you drive with your eyes closed!
TBH the trips more about meeting an old laning friend who moved to Scotland than anything else.

I do prefer more technical lanes but open country side and good views are more than acceptable. I'll be happy as long as the weather is better than the three days of sideways rain I got last time I was up there backpacking the Hadrians wall path.

Ahaha been there!!! Side ways rain on the wall is grim!! So windy and cold your ears hurt and rain pouring down your collar haha!
