Thanks. This looks easy to useThe Upper Claerwen byway ends at Claerwen, but there's a private link road at the end owned by the Elan Valley Trust that goes through to a UCR. You can email Elan Valley for a permit to drive the link road.
Shown here between the red (Upper Claerwen) and green (open section of UCR).

But you need to find the area first, then find the relevant council. Thought I had found the correct area…. Nope about 100miles to far north(that site will be used for other routes later on)There's always the relevant council 'definitive map' but they aren't always up to date

I am making lots of notes as I go.
Thing is I have to do most of this weekends as connections are not good for me during the week to run 2 pads.
If you use streetmap.co.uk it will tell you the exact postcode of wherever you point. Helps to find the right councilBut you need to find the area first, then find the relevant council. Does the blue lane (tro) form part of Monks Trod or lead to Monks Trod? The Upper Claerwen byway ends at Claerwen, but there's a private link road at the end owned by the Elan Valley Trust that goes through to a UCR. You can email Elan Valley for a permit to drive the link road.

Yep been on Powys site. Just linking up areas and councilsPowys above Claerwen.
Black seems to be byways, not many on there? Here a problem. Nice lane not showing anything on definitive map.
A bridal path is shown(on definitive map)so it’s the correct council.

Yep… I just zoom out and scan colours. Second pad runs the os map so I get a general idea where I am. That’s when I spotted the unmarked ROW.Black seems to be byways, not many on there?
There are a lot of UCRs in the area (including Soar-Y-Mynydd at the southern end of that bridleway) which aren't usually shown on rights of way maps.Black seems to be byways, not many on there?
Do they show on Tw?There are a lot of UCRs in the area (including Soar-Y-Mynydd at the southern end of that bridleway) which aren't usually shown on rights of way maps.
Yeah Trailwise shows UCRs - they're the blue ones on the screenshots.Do they show on Tw?
Or if things are not marked do people still put notes up on the route/UCR ?
Thanks all for you ongoing help
