so after the cutout at the weekend and the conclusion that the lift pump was fooked ive tonight replaced it

but it still wont start
cracked off all 4 injectors and cranked over but no fuel at the injectors

put the old fuel solenoid back to try that still no start

theres fuel in the filter

but it just will not start
any help pls

ive undid num 1 injector and bleed screw on top of filter and pumping the arm on f l p i cant get no diesal up

rolled landy forward a tad incase it wasnt on the cam and still nothin.

Sounds like what happened to my mates 300 disco he was just driving an it cut out an was just Turing over but no start Turned out to be fuel pump

try sucking on the pipe from lift pump to filter while manualy priming the pump, once you have fuel coming out try turning over with pipe diconected from fuel filter to confrim lift pump working and not a duff

first off you will have a lot of air in the system.... in theory it should self bleed if thats the only problem but it can flatten a good battery before its fully bled.

can you work through the system using whatever manual primers fitted. start by bleeding the air out the filter , then work along to the injection pump.... you may need th crack the fuel inlet to the injection pump to bleed all the air out the supply line. is there a bleed screw on the injection pump? you wont get any fuel out of any of the injector pipes until the injector pump itself is air free.

dont forget if you try and bleed the injection pump the ignition will need to be on to open the stop solenoid., worth checking youre actually gettin volts on the solenoid to open it... or the plunger itself could be stuck shut.

fuel solenoid is brand new as is lift pump.

ive tried crackin off injector 1 and crankin over to try to draw air thru but nothin
i still have no resistance on the lift pump arm even movin landy a bit at a time to see if its on the cam

i cant see to get fuel thru the lift pump fuel is goin in no probs
its doin me head in now:mad:
