i got a feeling your pipe (fuel) might be blocked might be worth just putting the air hose down them might not be enought to fill the lift pump i know its dribbling out just might no be enough to fill pump

taint dribbleing thru its ****es everywhere if defo aint a fuel getting to pump problem its getting it thru the lift pump

looks like me and pikey may well have to call on you again ........... we both like steak and roast spuds :D:D
lol...i dunno whether to buy another lift pump and solenoid just in case..im booked in at the punch challenge on sunday at m/b,

djing fri night..setting up a karaoke in a marquee and dj in another marquee on sat aftnoon so it dont leave me much time to get it sorted:mad:

wot is this thing steak u speak off:confused: is it vegetarian

you have put the pipes back on the right way round i cant understand why the lift pumps just like the other one there should be some restiance there if it full of fuel ....................... the steak fingy is half a cow mind :D:D

Lift pump int a ****part one is it?? Try taking it off and pumpingas if the Cam is doing the work see if out comes out & put ya finger over fuel inlet to see if it's sucking. If that's working then it's gotta be aiorlocked, blocked or Injector Pump is blocked/fooked..

dunno it came from lrs ..

ive tried moving landy a bit at a time to see if i can move it onto the cam but im now that far forward i gotta try and push it bk again

i reckon i might have to go to ottons tommorrow and get another one and maybe take the day off work to try and resolve it:mad:

take the outlet pipe off the lift pump and try pumping fuel out of the pump.... no fuel means pump aint pumping.
if it pumps fuel put the pipe back on the pump outlet and move along the pipe and undo the other end (inlet to filter?) pump and see if fuel flows out....if it dont pipe is blocked. then carry on downstream towards the injector pump undoing each joint and checking for pumped fuel as you come to it.. it will take quite a bit of pumping to fill an empty filter.

filter is full to the top with fuel

undo the filter bleed screw or outlet pipe... waggle the pump/ primer... diesel should **** out , if it dribbles theres a blockage or the new pump is crap. youve just got to follow the diesel flow though from tank to injection pump checking theres copious diesel at every stage.

redneck way is a squirt of easy start in the air filter... start, nother tiny squirt as revs die off ... repeat till the diesel is drawn through and it runs on its own, but use too much and it will make allsorts of horrible mechanical clattering noises.

update....

i got that ****ed of with it i called out the AA

there still seems to be no fuel from the outside of the lift pump to the filter and very little resistance on the lift pump arm

he tried easy start and it still wont go

his guess is low compression

low compression wont have caused a sudden cut out.

my "guess" is the new lift pump is shagged

you did break down with this faut so while you are waiting for pump dubble check back to your tank, look for a rubbed pipe, can you get to sender through boot foor ,if so wip it out and have a look, blow through pipes etc,
if you do it now you will be ready for new pump

:beer2:

i will be very suprised if its there..

its been bobtailed and ali tank is behind seats:D

Have you tried a canister of fuel feeding the fuel filter by gravity? ie, connect a pipe from the filter inlet to a bottle of fuel with someone holding it up to provide a makeshift tank .. just to eliminate the lift pump?

Take filter off and see if the pipes are clear, and try a new one, maybe.

Sorry if this has already been done, just seen this thread in live ...

its just gone off on the back of a big yellow taxi..off to moonraker 4x4 lets see if pete can shed some joy
