Coming to the end now !
Due to the rough Galvanising had to paint Raptor on the cross member, as gloss would have looked terrible and I did not want to sand the galv or use body filler.
One wiring niggle to sort as retro fitting Heater plug timer relay( can't relay to shut off ) Had an issue with the heater motor had no power but sorted that today.
Last bits primed today top coat tomorrow.

How does the raptor look on the crossmember? I'm thinking the same for mine. Might look okay with a few coats if lucky though
Bet you'll be glad to have some free time :p won't know what to do with yourself haha

Could you have used black stone chip? I've used it to good effect on wing mirrors and an alloy spare wheel holder.

Might work, it's just the texture of the galv isn't brilliant. Might try smooth it see what they bloke says when I get painted I suppose

Yes could have used stone chip. But have some Raptor left so might as well use it up.
I found the stone chip seems to fill small scratches and imperfections quite nicely and leaves a really nice finish. Don't think it would be as durable as raptor tho.

The passenger side of my cross member had galvanising that looked more like a nasty growth than scratches.

A rest ! Then I have to break the Disco1 and sell the 90's roof and side panels
