Turboman

Mab An Gov
An unused Pressbrake 6mm steel crossmember.
I bought this one about ten years ago, when word went around that he was stopping producing them. I gave it 2 primer coats and a coat of black enamel, and it has been stored ever since.
An extremely good quality item, welding is excellent, and no box section, so it can be pressure washed out.
There is some minor paint damage from storage and transport, otherwise perfect condition.
£200 will secure, PM for mobile number.

Surprised this bargain hasn't been snapped up yet, Devon 4x4 do one similar, but 5mm, for £370.

Might help if I add that the crossmember can be viewed and collected from March, Cambs.

Ideal Christmas present for the Landrover lover in your life. Assuming they have a rusty crossmember, of course!

Not that I need one as I have one of Clive's on mine already but just wondering if it is worth tracing the shape of the extensions out for anyone that may want to make repair patches in the future?

Not a bad idea, although I personally have no intention of getting another Land Rover, which is why I am selling the crossmember.

And thanks for calling my attention to the fact that I had missed the s out of Christmas, now edited!

I think not many people think of looking here. Post a little teaser in the defender 90/110 section. If i was close by. id buy it .

Not a bad idea either, and I might try it if it hangs on for a very long time. But I am not in a desperate hurry, and it is up to 186 views now, so we will see how it goes.

Still hoping to move this on in the near future. It is taking up a decent space in the container, and I really don't want to move it again.

At this time, this quality product is marketed exclusively on LZ, but there will come a time when it will have to go on Fenlanders, ebay, and such other lower quality marketplaces.

I know that Clive has committed to a batch of steel that has been cut to size but doesn’t have his old jigs and is currently looking for a crossmember for templating purposes...

This could be just what he’s after!

It isn't. He has already said that he wants an old crossmember off a scrap vehicle.

Had a few sniffs at this, but still nobody has put the cash in my hand.

Try again. The weather has improved, so perfect conditions for welding on crossmembers! :)

If I wasn't up to my neck (and wallet) in repairs Id snap this up off you. Even to keep in the shed as a spare if and when.

That was why I bought it, but my crossmember lasted better than I thought.

Might do a deal, seeing as it is you. PM me, I will send you my number if you want to come and have a look. I have a few other Landrover bits you might be interested in too.

About an hours drive from you, if you wait until after the Easter holiday traffic is gone.

Put it on face book, I hope you get the asking price which was more than I sold them for, might spur me into action :)

I am not on facebook, and not that desperate to sell it.
I can't remember what you sold it for, it was about ten years ago.
I suggested that price because Devon 4x4 sell one that doesn't look as good for £370.
I would be happy to negotiate on the price, but so far, nobody has even messaged me about it.
