ALL car's need regular maintenance, LR's just a bit more. I've had both jap 4x4's and now Landy's, and can honestly say my next purchase would be a Landy if my current Disco was done and dusted.

Go onto any car forum and you'll find the exact same thing's ... people slagging off their motor's when they break down but loving them when running ok. It's a mechanical machine at the end of the day that will need looking after to run properly....

thank you dewin, someone with a sensible approach, who doesnt take the ****.... maybe the rest could learn for yourself and help new people instead of hindering.........

SLITTY!! as in slitty eyed as in JApanese ya fick twot... :violent:

Ah, the splitties I've owned. The first was a 1965 21 window with a sun roof. It went all of 55 mph going downhill with a tail wind. One time in Northern California a flock of fancy cartoon chickens crossed the road and I hit the brakes so hard that I blew out the slaves in the rear. It could have been drug induced.:p

The second was a 1967 Westfalia purchased in London and then shipped across the pond. It blazed along at 65 mph going downhill with a tail wind. It lost a showdown with a deer on the interstate going that blazing speed.

The last was 1966 that introduced my kids to the joys of VW vans.
They now drive slitties.
