Fanatic....I have posted some of the symptoms ....any help appreciated.....and with regard to the valve took it off and one of the ports were blocked....cleared the blockage but still high temp

Ok so finally got it idling at a constant temp....took it on the road....looks ok, but now getting fluctuations in oil pressure readings and gear is taking a little longer to change....when I removed the engine the torque converter shifted and displaced some fluid so I will top up the transmission fluid,check to see what the issue with the oil pressure is and report back. Want to sag thanks to everyone for their help...especially to Mr Martin and fanatic. And to tell u what u did to stop the overheating....it kinda solved itself
