Hello Every One

my self and a mate currently own a 3.5l V8

having trouble starting my beast we have changed the following
sparks all 8
ht leads now 8mm
dizzy cap
capsator (gose into the top of the dissy cap)
new dizzy arm

any ideas want to get her going again

i thought it was doc evil tryna start from scratch :p

do you have a spart at the plugs and fuel in the bores tom?
 
I think you should get the oldest mechanic (probably wammers, but he may not travel) you can to cast his eye over it doc, they seem to remember how to fiddle with them.

Got an A-frame to borrow so if worst comes to worst I'll tow it to the V8 specialist and get him to diagnose it then I'll work on it according to the V8 rebuild manual :)

Its the stage one workshop manual for rebuilding engines etc so will show me what to do, preload etc if needed
 
i have got fuel but no spark :confused: the batt is good
can i put power straight onto the coil rather than going though the ignition system so that i can take this out of the issue

will the starter still work if i do this

are there wiring diagrams available for the v8s

sorry for all the questions both new to land rovers and petrol engines im used to working on 16l v8 d engines
