BMW engine
Jag engine
thanks for the clarificationBoth BMW and jag are 4.4l in normally aspirated trim. The 4.2 supercharged is the jag engine also.
I recognise you now.
You are the ‘do you smoke’ guy.
Think the Jag one has the decent gearbox. Whatever L322 you choose test drive it first. Should run like on rails no wandering, brake like it’s got an anchor and pull like it’s made of feathers. Make sure all gears are smooth
One with lots of genuine looking receipts would be great, chains/vanos/gearbox replaced professionally ideal for higher miler
that bad? lol
The 2.0 hdi/tdci engine à good unit, ask volvo and Peugeot. It can also be tuned and give around 170bhp but will chew a gearbox.that bad? lol
i see taxi drivers using these so they must be reliable
what you lot think of ford galaxy?
seen a nice one
Just need something reliable tbhThe 2.0 hdi/tdci engine à good unit, ask volvo and Peugeot. It can also be tuned and give around 170bhp but will chew a gearbox.
Ford are OK safe and straight forward but the same as everyone else's. Landys are different
Yea they seem to lack character but if it does the job can't really knock itA mate has had one for years with very few issues. Wheel bearings went at about 170k miles iirc. Bland and boring but plugs away.
probably a bit out my price range tbhIf you want reliability buy a new or nearly new kia with 7 year warranty.

Wash your mouth out, I use mine every day. Volvo/Ford... Same things around the mid 00's. Ford actually made them more simple and dropped the stupid vacuum engine mounts and the double tensioner on the 2.4 tdi. The 16v 2.0tdci/hdi used in the smax and volvo v50 has the troublesome Sachs dual masse flywheel that goes sooner rather than later.Much as I love the Rangie it isn't reliable. Mondeo? Or big Volvo?
dont really know much about volvos, the xc90 seems to be their main 4x4Much as I love the Rangie it isn't reliable. Mondeo? Or big Volvo?
