Should be a flapper if its a 1988 unless its been swapped. Have you got an injector in the plenum, if so its a flapper

hi peter its got the injectors on the drivers side of the engine. its also got a tps on the throttle, i cant find a tune resistor as it has no cats . i looked under drivers seat but not there relays are there so just wondered if it is located else were.

So you need a tank
a high pressure fuel pump
High pressure fuel lines presumably
An air flow meter
Relays
Anything else?

It may be easier to get a complete efi kit or complete range rover to rob parts from

There was only one Efi ecu for the 3.5 RR that was PRC6977, tune resistors are for the 3.9 hot-wire introduced with the 1990MY. I was there at the launch of the 3.9 but as my RR was only 18 months old the dealers didn't sell me one, but they tried. :)

hi here is the pictures of my engine.

That is a 1988-89MY 3.5 with the extra 'cold start' injector and it blue connector in the side of the plenum that 3.5s had, 1988 or 89 because some time around then the coolant fill tower was introduced, my 1987MY RR didn't have the fill tower.

Haven't a clue on that lump of round alloy is on the r/h side :)

Yes that's right. So it would be the flapper system.

No Tune Select Resistor because that came with the later hotwire airflow sensor.
