I've used Paddocks lots times.
Service has always been excellent
Delivery has always been fast
I've only once had a problem with a part being rubbish and that was sorted quickly and professionally.
I'd have not hesitation in recommending them

never had any problems with paddocks spares. just dont go there on a sat morning cause the parts dept is full of bl00dy land rover owners getting parts for the weekend repair jobs!!:p:p

I used them for the second time this past weekend, ordered on Thursday, had free delivery & all the parts arrived today ... a day earlier than supposed to (not bad for a Bank Holiday wkend order). Last time I used them they had some parts out of stock, they phoned me up & gave me an immediate refund so that I could go elsewhere. So "touch wood" it'll continue like this for me.

Just a warning to you, had nothing but trouble from them!

Bought parts to do a cambelt service etc etc, first off sent the wrong parts and had my car off the road for a week till right parts came through.

And have now been waiting a month for payment returns, been fobed off everytime a make a call and got laughed at today when I requested my funds again!!!!!!!!!

Would never use them again

Paddocks will most likely be pleased to hear that mate.

Used them a couple of times, polite over the phone, bits turned up on time and were all the right bits,
Got to speak as I find not bad at all,

Now if it were DLS then I would agree with you

Pete

Dealt with paddocks for years first with my series 3's and now with my disco no bother with parts or service on paddocks part the only thing i am critical of was the delivery on my last order off them (shockers) was supposed to be next day but they turned up 2 days later but that was not paddocks fault, (they emailed to confirm the parts had been dispatched also giving the fedex tracking number) fedex misplaced them on route.

I think the problem with em is that they're very busy, making their money far too easily, and as a result don't really care if they **** off one or two people along the way. Their after sales service can be shockingly bad. So long as you're aware of all this they're fine.

Most local factors can sell ya the right stuff.Build up a relationship with the locals so that way its easy.

not where i live they don't, never get the right bits first time, always charge more than the mail order/online suppliers and they don't know their arse from a hole in the ground, told me a while ago that there were no pistons/seals for a rear brake caliper for me disco available anywhere, then it took him 15 minutes to find the caliper in the book to give me a price for a replacement, he was obviously just trying to get a sale for a pair of calipers rather than just the repair parts i needed, all together i needed front and rear disks and pads, and pistons and seals for front and rear calipers, said it would be 300 quid ( with the complete rear calipers ) i got the seals and pistons and disks and pads all mail order for 100 quid and it cost me another 100 quid for somebody more competent than me to fit them all

As mentioned elsewhere, I use them (living in Spain) and have had two problems in three years.

First was from a long list of parts a slave cylinder was missing, made a call and it arrived three days later.

Second problem was had a set of wheels and tyres sent over and on one of the wheels the paint/finish was a bit naff, made a phone call and a replacement wheel was sent over in about a week and I got to keep the rough one gratis :D

I suppose you win some and you lose some but I am happy.

No affiliation blah blah ect

regards

Dave

I won't use them anynmore, everytime they are rude and condesending, they talk to you as if you are a Land Rover mechanic - any technical query and I have been treated like an idiot for not knowing. Supplied wrong stuff several times and a so what attitude when you query it or complain. Plus if you go in you stand at the counter as if invisible for ages while staff go back and forth talking to each other until they decide to acknowledge you and serve you. No I would rather pay more and be treated properly.

Paddocks have always treated me fairly good.
Ive had tons of stuff from em.
They even let me off with the postage return once,it was my fault as well.
There will always be differencies of opinion, depends on your expectations

....same as at any trade factors then!

i had lots of stuff over the years and never a problem.
One year i stopped off at theirs while on holiday and was generally impressed.
I should imagine the problems down to certain individual staff who are probably paid rubbish wages and couldnt give a monkeys. If you phone and complain and speak to the right person im sure theyd get it sorted.

I love Paddocks.Make a day of it and go on the cable cars at Matlock Bath ,then a look round the caves .The kids love the motor boats in the park.End the day with a slap up meal in Weatherspoons.Perfect! :)

Over the phone the Paddocks team are fairly clued up and friendly, the quality of parts is a bit hit and miss, you gets what you pays for!!
I've had no issue with ebay or there own website when ordering.
