this thread is funny. lets be honest we all use paddocks cos they're cheap. i got something off cradock recently and they got it completely wrong gave me the wrong drop arm when i had taken the pas box in to show them, bloke on the counter didn't know his arse from his elbow. so none of these bods are much good really and some of the "****part" stuff is awful Indian junk. however mostly they get it right and its cheap which it has to be for landrovers with the number of parts we all have to keep buying for them. If you dont like it buy a toyota they dont break

you dont have this problem , if you speak to bob at paddocks , he is well sorted....:)

I've had good parts of paddocks and a damaged damper.rang up and got it collected and refunded no problems.being nice down phone helps.

They do sell cheap brands and you do get what you pay for. I tend to go for oe stuff which works for me. Which may be why I'm a happy customer:)

I just got some door hinges which were much worse that the ones i was replacing.
One hinge had 7 manufacturing derects!

I have not had any trouble with any of the LR parts suppliers. The parcel carriers are another thing all together.

Dealt with Paddock, and all the other major online/postal retailers, since the mid eighties. Very rare there has been a problem.
Sometimes the couriers can be a bit random, mainly if it is a new driver that doesnt know where we are.

Any major supply and ordering operation will encounter occasional problems. They always sort it out promptly if there is, I think a some of the customers could be a bit better with their ordering as well.

Paddocks: I ordered a pair of S3 door hinges. They arrived.
Firstly they were a pair of rough unfinished castings- no primer, just rough as cast, metal.
Secondly; they were much worse for play than the pair I wanted to replace. They were new- not 44 years old!
One of them had 7 specific machining defects.
I called, they were polite, they told me they were all like that I could send them back if I wanted. that is time and expense so I didn't. I left them on the bench where, 2 years later, they still are.
I wrote to the MD of paddocks asking " why do you sell this inferior rubbish?"
They didn't answer.........

I've always had good service from them. Last week I bought new brake pads & discs, and ordered the wrong pad fitting kit, so they emailed me to say they didn't go together and asked for my chassis number and put my order right. :)
