So then just a small update, nothing special. Ive done a few pay and play days now so tonight I brought it in for some maintenance and thought id show some pics. Didnt get long on it as i did a full fluid change on the TD5 ready for my weekend drive to Scotland for my cousins wedding.

So the reason it came in today was due to grinding brakes so it needed pads. If only!







So a seal has gone. Not a big job but with Bures sand and dirt thats no doubt got past it, I think ill replace the caliper. Onto the other front one and out came the pads:





Both were holed leaving a mess behind them:






So looks like i best replace both calipers!

I do love having a lift. But I got carried away and cleaned out loads of mud so ive left it all to dry so I can sweep it LOL








So once im back from Scotland ill fettle some more. Just need to decide on spare second hand calipers ill no doubt have on my mountain of axles, or just go ahead and get brand spankers :)

Well i went with some good used ones I had in stock to save some pennies.
I took my headlights home as they were very muddy inside and gave them a hot soak and a massage with a brush, stuck them in the airing cupboard to dry out and refitted them yesterday but this time without the plastic adjusters which A) arent very good, and B) bloody expensive, so i used nuts and bolts to hold them in place, and a 10mm spanner can now adjust them.
I also fitted a new electric fan, as my previous one packed up at the last outing, as did my winch. So today I decided to strip it down.







and as you can see, was full of manky water:







So i stripped it right down, heavily greased it up and rebuilt it up and refitted it. Now works a treat!
Then i got busy with the angle grinder:







Can you spot the difference?

:eek: i've been finking of doing this for ages but was told they don't fit cos the d2 is wider than the d1
 
Dan came round tonight so we could remove his step and towbar! Shame the studs have welded themselves in the chassis! Itll need heat in the future:








And I finished getting the panels on. Just electrics and a final bead of silicone in the join to neaten it up:
