First off i pulled the old chassis out ant jet washed the bits i wanted to swap over:







And used my gay bucket to wash down the Galv'd chassis:







Got the front axle off:







And relocated it:









The dog was very helpful!






Whilst i got the rear axle off:







Got the old chassis stood up and started stripping everything else off:







Then went and played with the dog again lol







Then dragged the chassis to the front ready to fit the rear axle tomorrow:



 
Used a bottle jack to open up the rails to get the gearbox crossmember in:









Got the bump stops on and steering box etc and drilled out the rear mounts for the X-Eng rear arms and got the axle on

 
Nice build................. Can I have your woofer? He looks just like my old Staffie which has departed to doggie heaven. Lost my other staff a year later. Now have a bonkers half staff/half Mastiff lunatic who's fab but I miss my little pure breed staff.
 
He is very cool. Twin personality too. One day he will be lazy and extremely affectionate, the next an utter lunatic lol But we got him from the RSPCA and hes a great dog. Id definitely go back if we wanted another...
 
I now know what the little jobs I do for mickey are for now and why he keeps rummaging through my laser cut tabs ;)
 
So today i pulled the commercial in and started stripping it down:

So carried on. Anyone know what this is for above the heater blower? Looks like its for a relay, and it has two 30amp fuses:

Looks like heated screen wiring to me :)

Recommended to fit electric screen by the way, awesome for this sub zero winter laning trips where you can't wait all day to defrost!
 
Had a manky 300:







So pulled it outside, lubed it all up with WD40 and jet washed it down:









WD does quite a good job actually!
So i carried on and got the running gear off the old chassis and onto the new one :)








Shell waiting to be introduced :)







Then fitted the exhaust, PAS pipes, Earths etc etc







Then i made a list of what needs doing, what bits i need etc etc
Mike came over and talked through a few bits. Jobs for me to do next few days include cutting out all 4 arches as we are tubbing the rears for more clearance and losing the front inners and replacing with tube for more clearance and easier cleaning and access to the engine bay, and also trimming the rear body to accomodate the rear cage mounts....
