Bridge insurance is used for cars on finance,in the event of total loss of the finance is paid.

I agree the £60 for £500 looks expensive and not good value.

I agree that Flux seem slow in pulling their finger out on a bit of customer service and goodwill.

Not knowing how reliant lz is on sponsors it may be wise to back off a day or two-see what happens.

Good or bad the forum will be informed of outcome.

no good being a forum sponsor if the service they offer is crap,is it??

I don't disagree, but consider the ramifications, if the forum is reliant on sponsorship-booting a sponsor out may mean asking forum members to pay hosting costs.

Also waiting until Monday won't hurt and lets see what happens before going on a rampage- milk and honey tactics get more action than offering bed of thorns.

I should have some information soon.

no it wont hurt, but poppy is in a **** stick situation, this should have been sorted long ago.AF took her money,so they are responsible.just the same as buying something from a shop.your contract is with the company you buy a product from.

I don't disagree with your disgust and am well known for ruthlessly getting a resolution or information, I'm just suggesting before people rampage across the internet-

1) It should be quite clear to FLUX that the forum are not impressed
2) going off half cocked could make it harder for mhm and myself to help OP

yes i agree,i have not said anything about going off in whatever fashion, just that it needs sorting, and sharpish.would any of them wait this long with a fecked vehicle.i doubt it.;)

In order to speed things up, maybe poppy should ask the other sides insurance company for a like for like courtesy vehicle. The longer they hang out the claim the more it costs them. It won't take long for the daily hire cost to outweigh the differing opinion of repair costs.

Saw MHM say the same thing...........milk and honey tactics get more action than offering bed of thorns.

Not tried that yet!

Poppy will have a duty of disclosure to her insurers at renewal. They will want to know of any outstanding claim and will probably amend the no claims discount on the one vehicle involved until all is sorted out. She should then be eligible for a refund of any additional premium paid.

As stated previously her insurer might renew at standard terms pending confirmation of a successful outcome.

Here in Northern Ireland, unfortunately the occupant(s) usually just go to the solicitor and take a fraudulent injury claim...thus our exorbitant premiums.

... and nobody was suggesting that she didn't disclose everything.

What was suggested was finding an insurance company prepared to offer her the NCB IN THESE CIRCUMSTANCES unless/until it was proved that it should not be applied, in which case she agrees to pay the difference.

Failure to disclose is not just a serious offence, it leads to driving uninsured which is itself a further serious and expensive offence. And I'm sure no-one on here wants to be seen to be encouraging that.
