Hey all,

When I look at my 90 Td5 parked on a flat surface, it is leaning to the left. It's a good inch lower on the left than the right.

Can anyone explain what might be causing this?????

Is it simply tired springs?

Thanks

Adsey

He may eat too much, but I don't think enough to cause this.

He'd be very very very very upset if he was banned from the Landy, he loves it more than me!!!!!

My 110 does it too, and me old disco before that. Doesn't seem to affect the handling in any way so I'm not going to bother about it till the springs get replaced anyway. Then if it's still wonky on new springs I'll be scratchin me head:confused:

Out of interest, roughly how much is a new set of springs, it was previously used for towing so they're a bit tired.

pair of springs are £55 from crapdocks or similar. look out on ebay as there are usually some relatively new sets going on there cheap. esp. if you can pick up.

prob worth replacing both shocks too while your there. waht are they 20-30ea?

should do yer.

No no, nothing's wrong!! you'll be amazed that they are designed that way. on a RHD Td5, it list to the left on the LHD it list to the right.

I've ripped out my old set of springs (3.5yrs) and got them changed to the scorpion one and they are a good 1 inch different both on the old and new.

the td5 90 supposed to be slightly tilted forward too.

Now you wonder why?

I've tired to level the car out before on the old set and when i've that done, it collects water. especially in the gutter below the windscreen.

There must be more reasons like...

1. back in the Tdi days, the tank was under the driver seat, so the spring on the DS was to compensate for that weight?
2. LR drivers are tuff and adventure comes alone? so no need passenger.

Happy landie-ing...

well it wur him you called a complete fool so it must be him.. if yer still not sure stick yer hands in yer thunders and check

if he did, he would need more than a barra ter carry em in, have yer seen what it does to the flowers on the advert ;)
