Ok so got a nice shiny new chassis and it's brilliant ..... but can't get the gearbox and transfer box mounting brackets to line up with the holes in the chassis. The bracing for the bracket welded to the top face of the chassis gets in the way.
Was a 1990 2.5td but now getting a nice low miles 200tdi disco engine, using the original td lt77 gearbox and transfer box. Is that bracket welded too close to the holes?
Can anyone advise whats going on .... Am I missing something?

my mistake though rc was rrc chssis not richards chassis, which way is front it doesnt look tobe in the right place
Sorry I should have been more specific. Front is to the right of the picture. I've a feeling the bracket is too far back but I've nothing to measure it against (old chassis gone).

I wonder if it's different mounting brackets I need to bolt on. The ones I'm using are off the original gear/transfer boxes and I got them galvanised. Maybe def 200tdi ones are narrower....

all the defender brackets would fit the same, the 300 tdi bracket /crossmember fits on the top 2 holes then is shaped to miss the support at the front ,

if its a Richards chassis (RC),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I aint surprised by a incorrectly located mount !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mate had same trouble when he went from tdi to v8, rc welded the mounts in the wrong place, to be fair they did change the chassis within a week.
