There is no legal requirement to have a spare tyre and if you do it can be as bald as a coot and the vehicle can still pass an MOT as it is not an MOT item. The same goes for reversing lights by the way, if they don't work then no probs coz they ain't checked in an MOT.
Not where I am! Spare tyre most be legal tread depth.
if yu look on the right of his post - it tells ya
its next to "location:"
Where are you then LR? Presumably not in the UK?
For the UK, details of what is tested is available here ===> What does a garage look at during an MOT test? : Directgov - Motoring
'Wheels and tyres - condition, security, tyre size and type, and tread depth. Spare tyres are not tested'
I still haven't put the propshaft back on my FL, it's been off since last year!! My Dad's now moved it out of the glasshouse..........well it didn't grow any spare parts in there LOL!! I'll get it fixed before the MOT is due in August
