If you do you will need to get the land owners permission as driving on green lains is different in Scotland than England and there are not meany open lains free to all.

Are you sure? The access laws are totally different in Scotland in that you can go pretty much anywhere you like
 
Right to roam does not include vehicles. There is a Road Traffic Act offence of driving anywhere other than a road without the landowners permission. This is to deter poachers and anyone caught will be given a serious doing in the Scottish Courts. You can only roam provided you do not worry livestock (sheep are pregnant now so beware of causing them to miscarry), light fires , damage crops or camp.
