Don’t think it’s healthy for the DMF with the manual transmission though.
does make a clatter
If the box is in neutral, there can be no effect on the DMF, knocking it into gear and dropping the clutch while being towed on the other hand.................................:eek:
 
Most of the time. If it won’t change over there’s a sweet spot between 3rd/5th, hold the stick there and it changes.

there is a plastic collar in the rod that moves or brakes, it was in one of the tsb, which means box out selector of and repair or you pull of the connector and put a jumper wire in , just dont press the low range with out the clutch down or in neutral.
i tried to change my neutral switch but you can not get to it:(
 
if anyone's still watching is the normal state of the transfer box shift motor in high gear or does it do a self test everytime the ignition is turned on?
