What is the purpose of the circled bits on the front bumper?
no they are quite strong and pushing a vehicle hasnt the same force as a sudden impactSurely they would just bend with the bottom bumper into the bodywork
Suppose but that part of the bumper is the wealest point and every landrover ive got has that part bent past the bodywork so if it had them fitted my wings would be goneno they are quite strong and pushing a vehicle hasnt the same force as a sudden impact

We skidded into a wall on a field once bent bumper right into wheel chain round bumper and reversed back bent it backThe military spec vehicles were different to the civilian model in that they were a lot stronger.. They were made for Squaddies to bounce around and to be thrown out the back of aircraft. I once bounced one into a stone bridge after hitting grease on the road.. No damage to the bumper and just bend the wing panel. Got given a hammer and can of paint by the MT Sgt and was told if I fixed it there would be no charges. The aluminium panels were fairly easy to get back in shape. The only thing the bumper needed was a fresh coat of paint.
