Hi all,
While driving to work last night the internal lights kept coming on then going off with the dash display saying just that, Lights on. Lights off. They eventually went off and now don't work when the doors are opened but still work off the buttons.

any ideas please.

Door switch or wet carpet in the drivers foot well for starters.

Look for damp in the interior light unit above the dash. Interior lights are set from that.

Thanks you two for your answers.
It was indeed damp in the light cluster.

looks like the coolant 'o' rings is my next job.

You can turn them on and off by pressing and holding the middle button (cant remember if ign needs to be on) so maybe you have a fault in the button?

Quite right. Ign doesn't need to be on.

are we talking about the same lights?
The one in the roof?
Getting damp from the o rings! In the footwell!

Its rare, but leaky o rings in the footwell have been known to cause damp in the interior roof lights!!
