Simon, is it a pain in the noodles to make shorter (25mm or 30mm) kits? I'm going to fit 215/80/15 to my new plaything and wouldn't mind a gnat's more clearance on top, but not sure I want to go to the lengths of cutting out to stop the arms fouling. Appreciate I'll still need camber correction pins.

I would be interested in a shorter kit as well (20-25mm). Understand that it will be next to impossible for you to weld it up (by the way, it DOES look very nice!), but what about CNC cutting them from a solid block of stainless steel, or maybe aluminium? Would that be a possibility?

Aluminium is too soft, would have to be mild steel or stainless. Problem with that is cost, as a one off batch it could easily be £100 per block! Then you've got the weight of a solid block too, as well as needing some custom made bolts to suit as the way i currently do it wouldn't work.

Billet aluminium spacers shouldn't be too soft for an application like this. It's very common to use aluminium for suspension spacers?

depends if you have a cnc centre to do the job... if you dont then feel free to cough up 50 large for the tooling :)

I don't..... But I know a man that does. That's got me thinking..... Simon, I'll hold fire on spacers for the time being. I need to get the new tyres sorted and will probably run without a lift for a while to see how things settle in. Need to think about budgeting for a vcu at some point too.....

I can get them done no problem, I costed them out a few months ago and the kit cost worked out similar to the kits I make now, its just the custom bolts that are a pig and drive the cost up!

No problem Alan, no rush

VCU sooner rather than later. Took another poke underneath and front bearing bush is split, which explains the rumbling I heard today. Tight on reverse too, so will be getting bushes and VCU ordered. Looks like it's the original which with 80,000 on it is overdue changing.

Still, I got it cheap knowing it would need some pennies spending on it. At least this way I know the work has been done!

Right, so, apparently more people want lift kits...
Can we start a new list below please...

Just waiting on the laser cutters getting back to me with whether the price is still valid (they've held the steel price for me for over a year on these now). But either way will still be around the £125 mark including VAT and UK delivery.

I need at least 5 from the forum for these prices...

If anyone wants a custom set, I know Winu wants a 30mm kit for some silly reason, then let me know and I'll see what I can do. I need to know before any material orders are placed!!!

I'll start off with Ian at the top, otherwise he'll start to complain again ;)

Yup, 2 front's and 2 rear's. Don't need brake hoses or anything tho I'd recommend camber pins for the front, but its up to you whether you fit them or not. My car handled like a pig without them

You'll need more than a week to recover (I promise I won't say anything nasty about your out of date apple) :)
