Just checked when he bought it, this IS the history it came with, at least I think it must be.
Maybe he'll clarify, but if so it would make sense that it is Good news.
Yes these are ones already done, they are however thee only 3 receipts in the wallet o_Oo_O
I did the exhaust manifold on my other and found it way simpler than I was expecting but was plagued by the abs lights the whole year so I'm grateful for that one :D

Oooh I forgot this little ditty we pulled up on the way home with it and my dad says 'you know you got a brake light out?
How could I possibly know that it didn't take much finding....

Yep someone had screwed threw the loom putting the light back in....

I was a proper biciclist for most of my life...a shared passion with the missus. She took seriously ill last year though and isn't able to get on the back nowadays...kinda took the fun out of it for me, I've never enjoyed solo biking much on my lonesome, she's been on the back of my bikes for the last 33 years... so I've thinned the bike garage down a bit leaving just the Recce wagon for the nostalgia. :)

The whole thing looks brill.
Reminds me a bit of my Kit Car which can't carry much but we did go on our honeymoon in it. With a huge suitcase strapped on the back, it was taller than the screen, and us!
No pics as they would be prints back in those days (1999).. Sadly wife's back problems mean she can't get in and out of it now.:(:( wonder if she will ever get into the noo one I'm building which is a lot bigger.
Tell us, is it Russian, another Iron Curtain country or German?
Horizontal twin looks BMWish but then they were probably copied.
(I know not much about bikes except what I learned from a mate who used them.):):).

It's a Russian Ural 750 cc...a direct copy of the WW2 BMW R71's which the Russians made under license for the Germans before they broke the non aggression pact and invaded in 1941. I also had a Dnepr 750 with a sidecar at one time...Ukrainian rather than Russian, it had proper 2WD having a driven wheel on the sidecar.

Ah!
I was hoping it had two wheel drive, they were said to be very capable off road. :):)

So yours is an 02, I THINK but am not absolutely sure, that the gubbins for the diff lock is actually in the box and can be activated from outside the box but the link needs to be made between the thingy on the box and the inside of the cab.

Wrong knob and stickers:D.

You maybe lucky its actually there and just need a few bits of bailer twine to make it work:D:D.
Wait for the Disco dancing eggsquirts to confirm:).
J

Only some late model Disco 2s were fitted with it so it worked from the cab and in that case I think it had to be chosen as an option.
BUT it could be on there and just the lever mech is jammed as happens so often on Disco 1s. Both of mine had it.
Need to get out and get under to see what is what.
i think the stickers were put on fairly haphazardly.;)
now watch me get shot down!!;)

Well technically all guesses are correct, I took the gaiter off and it's not the type of lever that will push to the side for diff lock
Not only that I don't think it's even an original LR sticker, my other is literally a sticker but this is a raised flexible plastic thing ...
