Too pricey.
Last time I learned about MAF it cost us a dear member.
I don’t even have EGR

Though it was going down that path before I butted in i think

The thing is all these things are put on an engine to optimize fueling and emissions they all interact with each other.

My view is GEMS may have differences that may interfere with the method. Then there’s the issue of if the vehicles in question are faulty/modified in some way. BECMs do go crazy.
I would like to see someone with GEMS try it thoroughly like Kermit so we can see what’s what for sure. I do not think that the becm was in diag mode in Wazzas video and this would be relevant

I have neither so no point putting my head on the chopping block
And I'd like to see someone with a diesel try it thoroughly.... I've tried it on the GEMS P38s of two stranded owners in recent weeks - nada - and extensively tested it on mine in the last 72 hours. Wd be nice to see some evidence that this phenomenon actually exists in a diesel, using a production Nanocom. But since Wammers is guarding the secret formula, then there's little hope of that. At the end of the day - it doesn't matter so much - unless a hapless reader here is tempted to lash out £500 on a nano, on the basis of this unique capability - not realising that it is, at the very least, "very hard" to achieve

I admire your grit.

Depends on your level of genius maybe

I was told my P38 was unfixable without a Nanocom by ‘professionals’ several years ago
Guess what - wrong.
Why - Wammers
Make of it what you will. This is why I am sceptical.

If I needed one would I take it to you - that says it can’t be done, or the other guy that says he can??

Range Roller,
Sorry for your previous experience, I may well have called it differently too, who knows.

All my testing suggests it's not possible to disable EKA/ imm once the alarm has been triggered, and that it is not necessary in order to re-mobilise the vehicle anyhow - and that whether or not you have attempted it the car will be re-mobilised the same way (I ran multiple different setting and editing combinations to come to this conclusion). The prime feature of a nanocom is the disarm feature (>=v36 yada yada) so if you have the EKA code, away you go, assuming the key/ fob/ coil hasn't already got you out of jail.

I'll be more than happy to help you with nano IRL should you ever require, as I'm sure you're a stirling chap, and this thread will recede into distant memory before we know it.

That is very kind of you to offer. I have no doubt you have tested vigorously but I do not trust easily, don’t take it personal I have issues lol.
My experience of this community is no matter how hard you are on members when it comes down to it they will go out of their way to help you regardless of past differences.
(Except John, wammers hates him with a vengeance :D:D:D)

My scrapper always needs EKA but unfortunately the diagnostic port is not working and I just don't have time to play at the moment.
