Me and roy have been chatting to one of the organisers of http://www.bristolandwestlandrovershow.com/index.html His name is Mark Pattenden and he is a member on Landyzone as Discovery2man and he should now have a nice shiny orange username.

If you have a look on the website you will notice that the show isn't the normal commercialised show, it's for charity BLESMA

Basically Mark likes to set himself a bit of a challenge, and for this show he wants to have the record for largest Land rover gathering in one place. The Blesma challenge is to get more than 1000 Land Rovers into the shape of a Land rover for the record.

We are planning to have a club stand at the the show, and from speaking to Mark it sounds like it could be a very good weekend!.

So the question is, who is interested in having a LandyZone club stand? On the forms it says 8 vehicles per club, but Mark says that if we can raise more, he will find a way to accomodate us.
So have a look at the website, see what you think and Vote in the poll.

I have a 2 burner gas hob, a toolbox grill and can have a 208 litre drum if it's required. It'd need a grill to go on it so if anyone has a couple of shopping trolley sides or similar knocking around......;):D

Hows your landy looking Fanny?

I think I need a miracle I know how to do engine mounts and had a chat with James Martin as I need to tilt engine or it will be crippled off road.
It would be drivable but double carden props and td5 flanges would be good Idea.

the list is off top of head

engine mounts- rover ones would do- thread too short unless a suitable fixing
exhaust - started
wiring into vehicle
brake pipes and hoses
mot
headlights ordered
fuel pick up ordered
need fuel pump
need remote oil filter

mate coming round Friday evening, have some stuff to do Monday- hoped to play with it lunch time if I get stuff done early with say 6 am start

I'm pretty sure that MGB's used to have a remote oil filter housings as did the 3.5 v8 rover engine. Does your V8 not have a remote housing?

I has just been to car booty, & spent the princely sum of £4 on a mint condition, 7piece family sized set of ally billy cans, 4 sauce pans 3 frying pans. so plenty of cooking gear. Biggest pan is big enough to do a sizeable stew might knock summat up on Friday night.
