Hi all, went to unlock my 03 l322 today and the remote central locking won't lock or unlock. The car can still be locked and unlocked using the key in the drivers door and using the button in the centre console of the dash board. The red light flashes on both the key fobs and they both worked fine yesterday.
I have tried resetting both keys following the instructions on here:
Insert key into ignition and turn on then off within 5 secs
Hold key up at head height and press the unlock button for 15 secs whilst pressing the lock button 3 times, repeating this step for second key then inserting key back into ignition switching on then off again to confirm - nothing.
Can anyone help?? Please
Thanks in advance
Ps if it makes any difference we had torrential rain today!

On the very odd occasion I get this, I just start the car, turn it off, then lock and unlock the car on the fob buttons and it seems to work...

Anything I have tried is key in the ignition to position 2, press the lock button then the unlock button and that has worked too....

Necropost time.
Since my little adventure last weekend, my fob no longer locks/unlocks the veh. I put a new battery in about 3 weeks ago because I got the fob battery low message. I offered key up to vehicle with new battery and it still said battery low. So I called her a lying cow and drove on. I got home, switched off ignition no problems. All worked well for a few days and the message came up again. I called her a lying cow once gain ( now we know why she had a fit on the m/way) but replaced the battery.
All worked fine until she came back today. The red light comes on the fob, the door opens manually and ignition is happy to accept key. I only have one key now so don't want to try all the different 'solutions' ,posted by loads of different people so it's guru and perverts time @Saint.V8 , @holidaychicken , @myfirstl322 and possibly @mozz smith

Is there one or two battery's in the fob, on the p38 one of the battery's can short out on the wire in the carrier and give low message a bit of tapegeson the edges making it into a single cell sorts it, if that's any help.

Only one. It was working on Saturday, now doesnt want to play.

Have a look on youtube for powerful.uk they did a video on how to resynic keys, worked for me.

Update on this. I popped over to the main stealer yesterday. After being given a heart attack my the rude, unhelpful, silly, girl at the service desk (£240 to resynch), I spoken to the manager.
The fob was tested and it is sending out an RF signal......yaaay! Now it just needs re-synched to the central locking. I am taking her back tomorrow and leaving her , as only one mechanic knows how to work on the older L322! So they reckon it could take 10 minutes or it could take 2hrs, however it will not be £240 to fix!
I could try the resynch myself but as I now only have one key, I can't risk mucking it up. I will let you know how it goes and what it costs.

I got two new keys for my 2004 l322 as I only got one with the car which I was never happy about, I got the flick out blade type key and he had to put a chip in the spare key as i didnt have a spare to transfer the chip all done for £280.

Any link to their page? FB or website would do. Typing in 'key to my car' brings up thousands of returns.

The " key to my car" that I used will not be any use to you as I am on the Isle of Man but I think it is a franchise and you call your local one, the beauty of the service is they come to you, mine has been faultless since I got the new keys.

Which is why I asked for a website or FB page. That way I can see if there is anyone , within a reasonable distance of myself.

Thanks @Shimsteriom ;)

Quick look at the page and it's all answered "We are based on the Isle of Man"
Yeah but he used to live in the UK, which is why I thought he might know of someone closer to you who might be able to help.
"Paul Davies have been trading for 9 years now on mainland UK."

There's noooooboodddyyyyyy close to me , let alone closer. There's folks in Europe could get to our main cities quicker than I can. So a mobile key cutter, who can cut and synch for a L322 is likely to be days away tenor (1).gif
