Hi all, back from a year or so of non LR ownership. Had a D1, parked it up due to rust, bought a D2, circumstances changed and needed something to suit a long tedious commute so sold both. Here we are I guess 15 months later and another change of circumstances has left me wondering if I can wedge an LR back into my life.
My thoughts are the 4.4 NA V8 to remove some of the complexity but what I can’t find is the pros and cons of the bmw and jag era cars. Ideally I’d look for a 4 or 5k early bmw engined car leaving plenty for a diagnostics machine, any unexpected bills and hopefully at some point some off road tyres so I can get back to enjoying the laning community.
Main draw is the L322 is they appear rather plush, rate ok in crash tests and appear better value for money than D3 V8’s.
