hi guys, anyone know why my p38 key remote has stopped working?
the little led light still operates, but it wont lock/unlock, and engine still disabled. ive put new batteries in, but no change.
thanks.

Have you tried resynching it ?

hi, yep, just tried putting the key in the drivers lock,holding down the lock button whilst turning to the right and holding for three seconds. didnt work though.

Did you remove the key from the lock before you released the lock button ?

try the eka reset/sync this should fix it!!!

hi, i kept the button pressed until the key was removed, and i dont have the eka codes, looks like a locksmith needed.
thanks for your replies guys.

Not sure a locksmith will help, your local LR Dealer should be able to give you your EKA code.

your right, i phoned a couple of locksmiths and they cant do anything.
on my way to land rover now to try and get my eka code.
i'll let you know how it goes.

You should have no problems at all. When I needed mine, I rang an LR dealer (a dealer I had never been to before), gave them the chassis number and they gave me the EKA code over the phone. I was pleased and worried at the same time and No, I'm not going to name the dealer as it might cause problems ......

ive got my number now, but i cant get the car ready to accept it. i'm doing the 4 unlock's, but theres no beep from it to enter the code.

I thought you had to do four locks, not unlocks ?

tried 4 locks and unlocks, still dosent beep, took the door card off and checked the lock mechanism, all moving freely but i put some wd40 on anyway. problem remains though.

I had the same problem with mine at the weekend, with the car locked i unlocked it four times, this disables the central locking, then entrered the code (when the code is entered just the drivers dorr lock should operate) then turn the key to unlock the door, start the car and this should re sync the key... (the car didn't beep at all when i did this)

you wont beleive this guys, my car was all ready to go on the low loader to be taken to lr, when i tried it one last time. guess what? everything works as before! must have done something right, dont know exactly what though!
