Glad its all come right in the end Johnny as it all come in to the budget you expected when you started even with the setbacks with your ingenuity I would reckon you have a motor you are proud of, and you know every nut and washer on her which is something a rangerover sport owner will never have the same satisfaction.

In feel like I've been through every nut and bolt, every up and down, every joy and disappointment with this refurb and it's such a pleasure to have come through it it all and ended up with a nice Landy back from the grave and ready for another 40 years use. Good on 'yer mate. (I have just spent the last 4 hours in the pub so this post could well be gibberish)

Hi Johnny
I've read i think all of your thread but never saw the dvla bit did you get the reg number or did they q plate it?

i got the original reg for the chassis as whoever sold it to me had swapped a series 2 and 3 body about to make a dodgy tax exempt series and then sold me what looks like a series 3 but to the points scheme its actually a series 2 hence the 1961 reg :D:D
