De Villes Advocaat
SUCCESS

A week off work to sort the clouds of white smoke pouring out of Henry and I finally finished today. Done lots of other little jobs but the timing chain was the big one.

I threw the bones a few times, sacrificed a chicken and ran round the garden naked twice chanting to Swarf the god of leafers then plucked up the courage to turn the key.

I cant tell ya how chuffed I am. I can return to work in the morning with a smile on mi mush. I just have to make the time to rip it all apart now to attack the welding.

Not sure about you running around in the nip but congrats on everything else! Good luck with the welding..!!

I wasnt looking forward to it to be honest but its quite a simple operation once you know why your doing each stage. It just takes a bit of dismantling to get at it.
I think Id have torched it if it wasnt right. Of course you cant find that out until its all rebuilt, re oiled and re watered.

Well done, some jobs require patience and many cups of tea. It gets easier when you do it for the 4th/5th time.....
