As you all probably know I have problems with my health over the years. Dodgy ticker among other things. Well I've decided to add another to the collection now. A few of the lads on here have been supporting me these last 3 weeks as I was found to have a large tumor in my colon. This has turned out to be cancer. Thankfully I can not praise the speed with which the NHS at Rotherham have tested scanned and looked after me. I have been given every assistance I and my wife need. Today after seeing the consultant he has confirmed that by the 22nd of this month I will be in for surgery to have the tumor removed. This is the only option open to me as the tumor is not in a position for Radiotherapy and because of my heart problems Chemo would kill me. The prognosis looks Ok though in time Mcmillan have warned me that there is a 50% chance the cancer will return.
SO me and @Jon Dor were wondering if my body could some how be a Land Rover. I am always breaking down and have numerous faults to boot. Or have I just come out in sympathy with having owned many LR's.:D:D

Glad to hear you're being looked after well. It may be a 50% chance that it will reoccur, but that means a 50% chance it won't!!
Yes it takes one to know one (land rover!) I know some of our landys seem alive, but honestly, if there were, most would be put down out of kindness  :D

Bloody lucky being seen quickly at the moment in the NHS. My neighbour had the same thing about 15 years ago and has been fine since.

Right with all the banter I've been thinking. How about we have the inaugural Rubberknees witty remark cheer me up competition So far there have been some beauties'. @Jon Dor you will need to post your EKA one for it to count. Winners will be announced later in the week and prizes will be what ever is left in my pockets after the wife has gone through them:D:D

Remember the heart John, any surplus pass them on;):D A friend who's Irish and used to be a nurse asked about my health,I bet she was sorry she did, said to me"it is what it is, you must learn to accept it". Irish logic.;):D
Consultant joked yesterday that my medical record is so big they need a seperate trolley just to wheel it around and a weeks notice to get it out.
I'll save you one or two if I'm feeling off it for the first couple of days:rolleyes::eek::D:D:D:D:D
